The Ngamo Plains is a grassy area in the park where visitors can see large herds of elephants and other wildlife. It is also a popular spot for game drives and guided walks.

History

Hwange National Park was established in 1928 as Wankie Game Reserve. It was later renamed Hwange National Park in honor of a local chief. The park covers over 14,600 square kilometers and is home to over 100 species of mammals and 400 species of birds.

Food

Visitors to Hwange National Park can enjoy traditional Zimbabwean cuisine, including sadza (a maize porridge), nyama (meat), and vegetables. There are also several restaurants and cafes in nearby towns.
